Alaca Imaret (Αλατζά Ιμαρέτ)
Alaca Imaret means Multicoloured (alaca) Poor-house (imaret). It was built in 1484 by Enagolou Ishak Pasha, son of Impraim, and was operated as a mosque, religious school and a poor-house. The name "multicoloured" was due to the coloured stones that was used to décor the minaret. Today only the base of the minaret is saved. Alaca Imaret is shaped like an inverted "T" and consists of a large room and four auxiliary spaces. The main room was used as prayer area and the four smaller ones for teaching of the Koran and the works of the Poor-house. Today, Alaca Imaret hosts exhibitions.
