Kathara Deytera ‘Καθαρά Δευτέρα’ Ash Monday is a Christian Orthodox day that takes place every year 48 days before Easter. When the Ash Monday ends the fasting period starts which call it Sarakosti ‘Σαρακοστή’ and is celebrating in each site of Greece. In Edessa in Northen Greece the celebration for the Ash Monday starts early morning till afternoon.
