The boat drivers are very experienced local fishermen, and very good acquaintances of the local flora and fauna. The boats are traditional wooden plaves of the lake, restored and improved to make the tours as comfortable as possible.


Itinerary

Starting and ending point is always the small port of Kerkini. Depending on the water depth (changes through the year) a different route is followed.
The boatman will take you close enough to watch rare birds, but not very close, to avoid disturbing them.

Sport dressed is the most suitable dressing for the whole year and will makes you to feel comfort at the boat. During summer days is very important to wear light-colored or white clothes. Also make sure that will take with you a cold bottle of water, sun glasses, hat, and sun protection!

During winter period wear warm clothes as will have a lot of moist at the lake.
