Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Yannis Avramidis cooperated along with Yannis Reklos - owner of Oikoperiigitis back at 1998 -with one hope and dream at the same time: to make Lake Kerkini well-known worldwide. At that time the village of Kerkini had nothing to offer to the visitors and most important there was no place that could offer accommodation to the lovers of the Lake.
So both Yannis started to build their lovely guesthouses next to each other, made mainly from wood and stones. Now Yannis Avramidis and his sons own and run Morfi Hotel and restaurant. Visitors of Morfi, can take part in all environmental and educational activities organized by Oikoperiigitis (canoe, boat tour, bikes, etc) because of the proximity of the hotels and the friendship of the owners.
One very important detail is that in the restaurant of Morfi Hotel you can enjoy local dishes and wines.
