Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Kinisi Palace is not an ordinary hotel. It is a hotel that dates back to history. It was built in 1924 by two talented architects: K. Kokoropoulos and A.Zachariadis.
The hotel represents perfectly the architectural style of that time. That is why the Greek Ministry of Culture has classified Kinisi Palace as a Historical landmark in 1995. The building was operating by two brothers -Aaron and Isaac Saki, as a hotel for 40 years - from 1924 up to 1964.
In 1998 under the supervision of the 4th Ephorate of Contemporary and Modern Monuments the restoration work has started and the project lasted two years. This length of time was necessary in order to secure that the original style and all the architectural details were preserved.
